230th Street – 3 family dwelling
Located between the Williambridge and Wakefield neighborhoods in the north section of the Bronx, this small residential building was designed to blend with the surrounding single and two family homes which defined the predominantly Victorian style houses within the neighborhood.
Maximizing the usable area and accommodating the maximum number of bedrooms per apartment were primary requirements as well as efficiency of resources and inexpensive materials.
Green materials such denim insulation and fireboards were used to be environmentally friendly and add safety to the occupants while keeping construction cost down.
The apartments boosted energy efficient appliances and air conditioner units as well as noble stone and granite finishes.
